Trauma is the number one cause of death for those aged 1-46. The loss of blood from injury can quickly become life threatening and often needs to be addressed before first responders arrive. Fortunately, with some basic training, those who are not medical professionals can apply some basic techniques to stop a bleed and save a life.
ICSAVE offers free, online video training as a part of their Immediate Responder Campaign. ICSAVE was founded on the core belief that every citizen, when provided with appropriate knowledge, skills, and abilities, can protect his or her communities from preventable injury and death.
“Stop the Bleed, Save a Life” is a one hour video training course that you can take on your own time to learn this critical skill. It is part of an educational course series that has been created to provide you with free lifesaving information and training. We can all be the solution to injury and trauma. Indeed, you too can become an Immediate Responder. Watch and learn!
